This was my book idea, images to follow soon, enjoy the concept

My work reflects my concern with the human condition in contemporary society: we live in a world of hyper-realty, which consists of fabricated idealisms:
The very definition of the real becomes: that of which it is possible to give an equivalent reproduction. The real is not only what can be reproduced, but that which is always already reproduced. The hyper real. Jean Baudrillard
My work takes an ironic view of contemporary society, playing with the perversions of the media, from the glorification of serial killers, pseudo news and bogus politics to wonder health foods and antibacterial cleaning products.
One book would contain video stills from the Strongbow cider advert. This advert to me infuriates in it’s treatment of the working class man, the working class to mindless vessels, disenfranchised and disillusioned, their  value or lot in life is reduced to the pint. The advert tries to glamorise them as patriots, for their services to the collective (society), and their beverage is there only as a reward and token of respect.
I see this more vilifies than it promotes the building trade, a pure post-modern pastiche: playing with the insecurities of the working class.

The link attached has the advert in question, the as mentioned will have stills, and quotes from various sources, which in turn articulate, and paradoxically juxtapose my critique of the advert
